HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

first of all, my printer's on/off button is stuck on "on".  And I unplug, wait and plug back in and it starts to cycle through the start up and then is stuck on the HP with blue bar screen and goes not further.  Any suggestions on how to fix?

Hi @sarah384-60,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To address the issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-In-One Printer, follow these steps.

Reset the Printer:

  • Power Cycle: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on. Unplug it from the power source as well. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect: Plug the power cord back into the power source and then into the back of the printer. Turn the printer back on.

Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect All Cables: Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables connected to the printer.
  • Press and Hold Buttons: With the printer still on, press and hold the "Power" button and the "Cancel" button simultaneously for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Release and Restart: Release the buttons and let the printer restart.

Service Mode Reset:

  • Turn Off the Printer: Ensure the printer is turned off completely.
  • Enter Service Mode: Press and hold the "Resume" button (triangle inside a circle) while pressing the "Power" button.
  • Release Buttons: Release the "Power" button first while continuing to hold the "Resume" button, then release the "Resume" button.
  • Wait for the Printer to Initialize: The printer may take some time to complete the reset process. Once it's done, it should enter the service mode or complete the startup process.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for Updates: If the printer eventually starts up, check for any available firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the printer's embedded web server.

Factory Reset:

  • Access Menu: If the printer's touchscreen is responsive, access the printer's settings menu.
  • Navigate to Reset Options: Look for a section named "Maintenance" or "Printer Maintenance," then select "Restore" or "Restore Defaults."
  • Confirm Reset: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
