HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer

My printer won't print (Deskjet 4100). It is on-line, has ink, it is not jammed and there is norhing in the queue. Help.

You have an e-series printer that seems to be online but will not print.

 

If it is one of these printers, then a firmware update may help.

 

If not, did you use HP Smart to register the printer? 

Did you sign up for an instant ink subscription or any of the HP+ Plus features?

 

If you rejected the subscription then you cannot use any Instant Ink cartridges, you must use genuine HP ink cartridges, and the printer does not have to be online unless it is one of the HP+ Plus models that cannot be unsubscribed.

 

If you accepted the subscription then your printer must be online (not on USB) and you must use instant ink or genuine HP ink if you run out.

 

If the printer is online and does not print

1 - Check the ink to see if it is genuine HP ink 

2 - Get a status report (if possible) from the printer using buttons or the console display.

3 - Use the EWS application to get a status report.
