@PavolZ, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer is producing garbled lines instead of the expected 5"x7" picture prints, it could be due to several potential issues. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Check Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the print settings in your software are configured correctly. Confirm that the paper size is set to 5"x7" and that the correct paper type is selected.
  • Make sure the printer drivers are up to date.

Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges:

  • HP recommends using genuine HP ink cartridges for optimal performance and print quality. Non-HP or refilled cartridges may cause print quality issues, including garbled prints.

Align the Printhead:

  • Printhead misalignment can lead to print quality issues. You can align the printhead through the printer's maintenance menu on the control panel.
  • Go to the printer's front panel, tap the Maintenance icon, then select Printheads > Align and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Paper Quality:

  • Ensure you are using a high-quality photo paper that is compatible with your printer.
  • Load the paper correctly, print side facing down in the input tray, and verify that it is not wrinkled or damaged.

Firmware and Software Updates:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer. You can usually find these on the HP Support website.
  • Ensure the software you are printing from is updated to the latest version.

Print a Diagnostic Page:

  • Use the printer’s diagnostic tools to print a test page. This can help identify if the issue is with the printer or elsewhere (e.g., a problem originating from software settings on your computer).

Check Connectivity:

  • Make sure your printer is properly connected to your network or computer. Re-establish the connection if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
