Hi @noble6251,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw touch screen isn’t working, and the Ethernet port may be faulty. Let’s go through a few steps to identify the issue.
Check Power & Connections: Ensure the printer is plugged into a working outlet. Verify the power cable is secure and undamaged.
Perform Hard Reset: Unplug the printer, hold the power button 15 seconds, reconnect power, and try turning it on.
Check Touchscreen & Display: Look for any signs of life—lights, sounds, or partial display.
Disconnect Network Devices: Remove Ethernet and USB connections temporarily.
Firmware Update: If touchscreen responds intermittently, try updating firmware via USB.
Inspect Ethernet Port: Test network connectivity with another cable or Wi-Fi.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
