Hi @Ahamed07,
Thank you for the details.
Could you please elaborate on what's happening with your printer? The more details you provide, the better we'll understand the problem and the faster we can resolve it!
Meanwhile, you can try these steps.
1. Check Printer Status
- Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer or network.
- Open the HP Smart app and check the printer status icon:
- Green circle icon indicates the printer is ready.
- Orange or black circle icon signals connection issues.
2. Reset the Printer
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it’s on and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back into a wall outlet and the printer.
- Turn the printer back on to reset it.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) via the HP Smart app or printer IP address.
- Navigate to Printer Updates and check for firmware updates.
- Install any available updates. Do not turn off the printer during updates to avoid damage.
4. Check Default Paper Size
- Ensure the default paper size is set to A4 for printing tasks:
- Windows: Access printing preferences via the Printers & Scanners settings and select A4 paper size.
- macOS: Go to System Preferences, select Printers & Scanners, and set the default paper size to A4.
5. Re-add the Printer in HP Smart App
- Remove the printer from the HP Smart app and re-add it to resolve connection issues.
I hope this helps.

Hi @Ahamed07,
Thank you for the response.
Try these steps:
Reset the Printer
- Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer. If it doesn't turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug the Power Cord: Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
- Wait: Keep the printer unplugged for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect: Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and plug it into the printer.
- Power On: Turn on the printer using the power button.
Additional Steps
- If the issue persists after resetting, check for any error messages on the printer software or the HP Smart app that may provide more specific guidance.
- Ensure that there is no issue with the ink cartridges, printheads, or any paper jams.
- Contact HP Support: If the blinking lights and errors continue after performing these steps, consider reaching out to HP Customer Support for further assistance.
Note:
- Blinking lights usually indicate an error state, such as open ink cartridge doors, paper jams, or printhead issues. Make sure all access doors are properly closed and check the printer's interior for any obstructions.
I hope this helps.
