Tried switching the magenta with cyan cartridge, and still the screen shows problem with magenta.

@lloyd21, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

The error indicates that the magenta ink cartridge is defective. Do you have an alternate magenta ink cartridge to try with?

Kindly perform the steps from this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

If the error persists, replace the ink cartridge.
