Hi @arlo11,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series printer has slowed down significantly, here are a few things you can check and try.
- Print Quality Settings: Ensure that the print quality settings are not set to "Best" or "High," as this can slow down printing. Try setting it to "Normal" or "Draft" mode.
- Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve performance issues.
- Printer Queue: Make sure there aren't many pending print jobs in the queue. Clear any stuck or old print jobs that might be causing delays.
- Network Connection: If you’re printing over a network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), ensure that the connection is stable. A weak or unstable connection can slow down printing.
- Printer Driver: Verify that you have the latest printer driver installed. You can download the latest driver from HP’s website.
- Ink Levels: Low ink levels can sometimes affect print speed. Check and replace any low or empty cartridges if necessary.
- Printer Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance like cleaning the print heads and checking for any paper jams or obstructions.
- Print Spooler: Restart the print spooler service on your computer. Sometimes issues with the spooler can cause slow printing.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
