Hi @Lisa765
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
If your HP ENVY Photo 7858 is stuck on the loading screen when you turn it on, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds to allow any residual power to dissipate.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
2. Check for Paper Jams
- Open the printer’s access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing it to hang during startup.
3. Disconnect All Cables
- Unplug the printer from the power source and disconnect any USB or network cables.
- After waiting a minute, plug it back in and power it on without any cables connected.
4. Reset the Printer
- Perform a factory reset if possible. Check the user manual for specific reset instructions, as this may vary by model.
5. Update Firmware
- If you can get the printer to respond, check for any firmware updates:
- Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Access the printer settings via the control panel and look for firmware update options.

6. Inspect the Power Supply
- Ensure that the power supply is functioning properly. If you have another compatible power adapter, try using it.
7. Contact HP Support
- If none of these steps work, it may indicate a hardware issue. In that case, contacting HP Support for further assistance would be advisable.
Hopefully, one of these steps will get your printer back in action. Let me know if you need more help!
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
