@Vincent245, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer not linking to Wi-Fi!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like your printer is having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi and isn't accepting the PIN for setup. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
  • Try the setup process again.

2. Check Wi-Fi Network

  • Ensure your printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If your router has multiple bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz), try connecting your printer to the 2.4GHz network.

3. Verify the PIN

  • Make sure you're entering the correct PIN from the printer’s display or sticker.
  • If it’s a WPS PIN, enter it within two minutes of being displayed.
  • Try an alternative connection method, such as WPS Push Button (if your router supports it).

4. Use Manual Setup

  • If the PIN method isn’t working, try manually connecting the printer through its control panel:
    • Navigate to Wi-Fi Settings or Network Setup on the printer.
    • Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Update Printer Firmware

  • Check the manufacturer’s website for firmware updates and install any available updates.

6. Reset Network Settings

  • On the printer, go to Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults and then try connecting again.

If the issue persists, let me know your printer model, and I can guide you with specific troubleshooting steps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
