Hi @CWest261m
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Envy 6000 series printer is showing an alternating red and green light at the bottom and is not printing from your iPhone, even though the printer appears on the phone. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Check Printer Status Lights
Alternating red and green usually indicates a hardware or connection issue.
Look for error messages on the printer’s display or touch screen.
Restart Printer & Network
Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Restart your Wi-Fi router to refresh the network connection.
Check Ink Cartridges
Open the printer and check that ink cartridges are installed correctly.
Remove and reinsert them to ensure proper contact.
Verify Wireless Connection
Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone.
Print a Wireless Test Report from the printer to confirm network connectivity.
Update Firmware & HP Smart App
Using your iPhone, open HP Smart and check for firmware updates for the printer.
Updating firmware can resolve connectivity and printing errors.
Try a Test Print from Another Device
Print from a computer or another phone to see if the issue is iPhone-specific.
Reset Printer Network Settings
On the printer, go to Settings → Wireless → Restore Network Settings.
Reconnect to your Wi-Fi and try printing again from your iPhone.
I hope this helps.
