Hi @Eddie2010,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When your HP Smart Tank 7600 Series printer has a print job stuck in the queue, it usually points to a communication or spooler issue rather than a hardware fault. Here’s how to fix it step by step:

Step 1: Cancel the Stuck Job

  1. On your Windows 11 PC, go to:
    • Control Panel → Devices and Printers → HP Smart Tank 7600 → See what’s printing.
  2. Right-click the stuck job → Cancel.
  3. If it doesn’t cancel, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Restart Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  2. Scroll to Print Spooler.
  3. Right-click → Restart. (This clears the queue and refreshes the print pipeline.)

Step 3: Power Cycle Printer and PC

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Step 4: Check HP App

  • Open HP appPrinter SettingsQueue.
  • If jobs are still stuck, clear them from the app.

Step 5: Update Drivers & Firmware

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
