macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have a Mac desktop running Mojave.  I have trouble printing with my officejet 1546.  I have reinstalled my printer and updated 

my driver to the latest Mac driver.  In order to get it to print I have to turn it off and on.  Sometimes I have to do this twice.

What else can I do?

Do you get any error messages while printing?

Which application are you trying to print from?

Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

 

For now, let us try these steps:

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Check the connectivity between the printer and the MAC by performing a PING test

  1. Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer
  2. On the MAC Go to Spotlight > search for Network utility > select Ping tab > enter the IP address of the printer in the box
  3. Check the second box that says Send only > 10 pings
  4. Click on ping > Check the results at the end if any packets are lost
  5. Note: There should be 0% packet loss, share the results in your next post
