@five9btall, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Fixing Printhead Errors on HP OfficeJet 8015e Printers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP OfficeJet 8015e printer stops printing and an error message displays on either your computer or the printer control panel indicating a printhead issue, follow these steps to fix the problem.
Step 1: Check the Ink Cartridges for Leaks
- Open the door to access the ink cartridges.
- Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.
- Remove an ink cartridge and inspect it for leaking ink.
- If the ink cartridge is leaking, it needs to be replaced. You can check the warranty on your cartridges at learn-about-supplies.ext.hp.com.
Step 2: Reset the Printer
- Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source and wait for 60 seconds.
- Connect the power cord back to the power source, ideally directly into a wall outlet.
- Plug the other end back into the printer and turn it on to complete the reset.
Step 3: Reseat the Printhead
- Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area.
- Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.
- If your printer model has a removable printhead with a latch, lift the carriage latch and slightly lift the printhead.
- Lower the printhead back into the carriage and wiggle it to the left and right, then lower the carriage latch until it stops.
- Close the cartridge access area and reconnect the power cord to the printer. Power it on.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
