Hi @Roz-6541,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP DeskJet 2541 All-in-One printer is showing a printing error message whenever you try to print. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
a. Check Printer Status
Make sure the printer is powered on and the display does not show any additional error lights or messages.
Ensure there is paper loaded correctly and no paper jams.
b. Verify Ink Cartridges
Open the printer and check that all ink cartridges are properly installed.
Ensure cartridges are not empty, expired, or blocked.
If using third-party cartridges, try using genuine HP cartridges if possible.
c. Restart Printer and Computer
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for 30 seconds.
Restart your computer and reconnect the printer.
Try printing a test page again.
d. Check Printer Connection
If connected via USB: ensure the cable is securely connected and not damaged.
If connected via Wi-Fi: ensure the printer is connected to the correct network and the network is stable.
e. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP website.
Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix any software or connectivity issues.
f. Clear Print Queue
On your computer, go to Devices and Printers > HP DeskJet 2541 > See what’s printing.
Cancel all pending print jobs and try printing a new document.
g. Reinstall Printer Drivers
Uninstall the current printer driver and software.
Download and install the latest driver from the HP support website.
Restart the computer and printer after installation.
I hope this helps.
