Hi @DennisH1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your printer is showing Offline and you need to get it back Online. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Restart the printer and Wi-Fi router
Turn the printer off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
Restart the router to refresh the connection.

Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network
On the printer’s control panel, open the Wireless or Network menu.
If it shows Not Connected, reconnect it to your Wi-Fi.

Check printer status on the computer
Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
Select your printer and make sure it is not set to “Use Printer Offline.”

Run the HP Smart app
Open HP Smart and check if the printer shows Ready.
If it doesn’t, click Add Printer and reconnect it.

Clear any stuck print jobs
Open the printer’s Print Queue and cancel all documents.
Stuck jobs can keep the printer offline.

Re-add the printer
Remove the printer from Printers & scanners.
Restart your PC, then add the printer back through Add Device.

Check Wi-Fi signal strength
Place the printer close to the router with fewer walls in between.
Weak signals often cause offline issues.

If using USB, reconnect the cable
Unplug the USB cable from both ends and reconnect it securely.
Try a different USB port if needed.

I hope this helps.
