Hi @RMR1409

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2710e is encountering an issue with the new cartridges or its wireless connection.

Here’s how you can troubleshoot and get it back to printing:

1. Check the Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the printer cover and ensure the cartridges are seated correctly in their slots.
  • Remove the cartridges, inspect them for any protective tape (which should be removed), and reinstall them securely.

2. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • This can help clear temporary errors.

3. Resolve the Orange "i" Light:

  • The orange "i" light often indicates an issue with the cartridges or paper. Ensure:
    • The cartridges are genuine HP cartridges.
    • The paper is loaded correctly in the tray and not causing a jam.

4. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • The flashing blue Wi-Fi light indicates the printer is not connected to the network.
  • Restore Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing and holding the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer until the power button starts flashing.
  • Use the HP Smart app to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor on a computer if available. This tool can automatically detect and fix common printer issues.

6. Perform a Factory Reset:

  • If the issue persists, perform a factory reset:
    • On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons for 10-15 seconds until the printer restarts.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
