Hi @GurramDhanu,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet 4630 won't connect to your WiFi using your MacBook Air, here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1: Reset Printer Network Settings
- Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- Go to the printer's control panel.
- Select the Wireless option.
- Choose Restore Network Settings.
- Confirm and reset the network settings.
Step 2: Check Your Wi-Fi Connection
Ensure Wi-Fi is Working:
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly.
- Ensure your MacBook Air is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want your printer to connect to.
2.4 GHz Band:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi is operating on the 2.4 GHz band, as many printers do not support 5 GHz connections.
Step 3: Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi
- Use Wireless Setup Wizard:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Wireless settings.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
Step 4: Restart All Devices
- Restart Printer, Router, and MacBook Air:
- Turn off the printer, unplug your router for 30 seconds, and restart your MacBook Air. Then reconnect everything and try to connect the printer again.
Step 5: Install Latest Printer Software
- Update Software on MacBook Air:
- Visit the HP Software & Driver Downloads page and download the latest driver or software package for your HP OfficeJet 4630.
- Follow the installation instructions.
Step 6: Add Printer to MacBook Air
- Add Printer in System Preferences:
- On your MacBook Air, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add your HP OfficeJet 4630.
- Ensure your printer is listed and select it.
Step 7: Use HP Smart App (Optional)
- Download the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
- Use it to connect and manage your printer wirelessly.
