Hello,I  replaced the ink in my tango, now I have a blinking yellow light and the printer will not work.  I have tired unplugging for 60 seconds and reinserting the Ink cartridges.  Still have the yellow blinking light.

@Ginger1817, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Tango printer has a blinking yellow light even after replacing the ink cartridges and attempting a reset, you might want to follow these additional troubleshooting steps:

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges you have installed are compatible with your HP Tango printer model. Refer to your printer's manual or visit the HP website to verify cartridge compatibility.

Reinsert the Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Carefully remove the ink cartridges and inspect them for any remaining packaging material or tape.
  • Reinsert the cartridges into the correct slots, ensuring they are securely in place.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the cartridges.
  • Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
  • Allow the contacts to dry before reinserting the cartridges and closing the access door.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Unplug the printer’s power cord from the power source and wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and turn the printer back on.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can do this via the HP Smart app or HP's support website, which may resolve any issues related to hardware and cartridge detection.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord while holding down the wireless button on the printer for 10 seconds.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
