Hi @Lme09,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To perform a factory reset on your HP ENVY 4504 e-All-in-One Printer, follow these steps carefully.
Turn on the Printer:
- Ensure the printer is powered on. If it is already on, unplug it and wait for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in and powering it on again.
Access the Reset Menu:
- On the printer's control panel, press the "Home" or "Menu" button (if applicable).
- Navigate to Settings or Tools using the arrow buttons.
Restore Factory Settings:
- Select Restore Factory Defaults or Reset All Settings (the exact wording may vary).
- Confirm the action if prompted. The printer will restart during this process.
Alternative Hard Reset:
If the above steps do not work or the menu is inaccessible:
- Turn off the Printer:
- Disconnect the power cord while the printer is on.
- Perform a Power Reset:
- Hold the Power button down for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect and Turn On:
- Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.
Cartridge Access Fix:
If the cartridges stop in the wrong position when you open the printer:
- Manually Move the Cartridge Carriage:
- With the printer turned off, open the cartridge access door.
- Gently push the cartridge carriage to the center of the printer.
- Restart the Printer:
- Close the cartridge access door and power on the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
