In clearing a paper jam from the printer, the white flat piece above came out. The printer continued to be able to operate so I didn't tackle the problem right away.

A few days later, another jam, this time in the back of the printer. So I opened it up, cleared it and decided today was a good day to put the other piece back on (it's happened before). But in moving the printer, I discovered a single roller in a plastic holder had come loose along with a spring. I managed to figure out where the roller went (below the white flat piece below the double rollers pictured above). I got the roller and plastic part back in but can't figure out where the spring came from or goes back to. Printer is working for now but I'm sure that spring was there for a reason.

FYI, the photo above is one I got from a maintenance manual at some point. This problem is recurring on paper jams, so I felt it best to keep the photo for reference whenever the flat piece comes loose. I can refer to it to get it back in place.
