Hi @Johnemac,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Officejet Pro 9025 stuck in the "verifying" phase!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer by unplugging the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in. This allows internal components to reset fully.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Check for Firmware Updates
- Visit HP's Support Website to check for any firmware updates available for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware, if available, by following the instructions.
Reset the Printer's Network Settings
- If the printer connects to a network, reset the network settings and reconnect to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
Factory Reset (if needed)
- Access the printer's menu settings (if possible) and look for a factory reset option. This will restore the printer to its original settings.
Additional Troubleshooting
- Remove connected devices or cables (if applicable) to ensure they aren't causing conflicts.
- Update Printer Drivers on your computer to ensure they are compatible with your printer's current firmware version.
I hope this helps.
