I have been unable to use my printer because it is stuck at now printing alignment page... I was able to print the wireless network test results with no problems. This is issue has been an ungoing issue for years and I had stopped using this printer but I am in need of me and need to  use.

Please advise. FYI I have already disconnected the plug from printer and then from wall and then connect to wall and then to printer.

Hi @JenSantos,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your HP printer. Since you've already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the printer to the power source, let's try a few more troubleshooting steps.

  • Restart Printer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve software glitches. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a couple of minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn it on and see if the issue persists.
  • Update Firmware and Drivers: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website. Additionally, make sure your printer drivers on your computer are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause various issues.
  • Reset Printer: Some HP printers have a reset option in the settings menu. Refer to your printer's manual to find out how to perform a factory reset. Be cautious as this will reset all settings to their default values.
  • Check Paper Tray and Cartridges: Make sure there are no paper jams in the printer and that the paper tray is loaded correctly. Also, check if the ink or toner cartridges are properly installed and not empty.
  • Printer Calibration: If the printer is stuck on the alignment page, it could be trying to calibrate itself. Check the printer's display or menu for any calibration or alignment options. You might be able to manually initiate the alignment process.
  • Wireless Connection: Since you were able to print the wireless network test results, it seems like the wireless connection is fine. However, it's worth ensuring that the printer is properly connected to your network and that your computer is also connected to the same network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
