@jess3588, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The message you're seeing usually means that your HP ENVY 6055e printer has updated its security certificate. This is a normal process designed to keep your connection secure. However, in rare cases, if the message appears unexpectedly or repeatedly, it's worth double-checking that your phone is connected to the correct printer.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Verify the Printer Connection: Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. If there are multiple printers nearby, confirm that you’re selecting the right one.
  2. Restart Both Devices: Power cycle your printer and phone. Turn them off, wait a few seconds, and turn them back on.
  3. Check for Firmware Updates: Open the HP Smart app and check if there are any pending updates for your printer. Keeping your firmware up to date helps maintain security.
  4. Accept the Certificate if Everything Looks Good: If you’re sure that you’re connecting to your own printer and not another device, you can safely accept the new security certificate. This helps establish a secure connection.

If the issue persists or seems unusual, feel free to share more details! I’m here to help.

Hope this helps! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
