Good morning

They gave me a used hp officejet 7110, the printer now asks for setup cartridges, but the setup cartriges are almost empty, i tried but now now there is the problem of the black cartridge leaking.

I bought new hp cartridges 932 xl and 933 xl but the printer ask for setup cartridges...
is it possible to skip the setup or bypass the error or do it with new cartridges?
Could you please advise how I can skip this.

@Eurimako I'm afraid there'y no option to skip the same as of now, that said, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

 

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

 

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

@Eurimako Here's everything you need to do:

 

Use SETUP Cartridges displays on the printer control panel or computer, and the printer does not print.

NOTE: 

If you see an ink cartridge error message other than Use SETUP Cartridges, go to HP Customer Support, search for your printer model, and then find the troubleshooting document that matches the error you see.

The steps to troubleshoot vary by the type of ink cartridges your printer uses. Identify your ink cartridge type, and then follow the steps to resolve the issue.

I tried but still ask for the setup cartridges and I can't use the new ones because it asks setup cartridges ... (I have already installed the firmware of 20/08/2020). Is there a way to skip setup?
