Hi @56-7-10,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Vertical lines across the page when printing can be caused by several issues. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-In-One Printer.

Check Ink Levels

Low ink levels can cause poor print quality. Make sure your ink cartridges have sufficient ink.

  • Go to the printer control panel.
  • Select Ink Levels to check the current levels of your cartridges.

Clean the Printheads

Dirt or dried ink on the printheads can cause vertical lines.

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup.
  • Select Printer Maintenance.
  • Choose Clean Printhead or a similar option.

Align the Printheads

Misaligned printheads can cause print quality issues.

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup.
  • Select Printer Maintenance.
  • Choose Align Printhead.

Print a Test Page

Print a test page to diagnose the problem.

  • Go to the printer control panel.
  • Select Print Quality Report or a similar option.

Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges

Using non-HP cartridges can sometimes cause issues. Ensure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause various issues. Ensure your printer firmware is up to date.

  • Go to the HP Support website.
  • Download and install the latest firmware for your printer model.

Check Paper Quality and Type

Using the wrong type of paper can affect print quality.

  • Make sure you are using the correct type of paper recommended for your printer.

Clean the Scanner Glass

If you are scanning or copying, dirt on the scanner glass can cause lines.

  • Open the scanner lid.
  • Clean the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Do not spray the cleaner directly on the glass.

Perform a Hard Reset

Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve printing issues.

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Turn the printer on.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue of vertical lines appearing on your printed pages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
