Hi @harley04

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've already tried, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience—this sounds frustrating.

Since you've reset everything and the flashing envelope information light persists, here are some additional steps to try:

1. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn it off, unplug it from the power source, wait 1 minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Router: Restart your router by unplugging it for 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in.
  • Computer/Phone: Restart the device you're using for setup.

2. Check Wi-Fi Requirements

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi is set to 2.4 GHz, as many printers do not support 5 GHz.
  • Disable the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) setting on your router if enabled.
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is not hidden.

3. Reset Network Settings on the Printer

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Power button on the printer for 5 seconds.
  • The Wi-Fi light will start blinking, indicating the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode.

4. Reconnect Using the HP Smart App

  • Ensure the HP Smart app is installed on your computer or mobile device.
  • Download it from HP Smart.
  • Open the HP Smart app and select Set up a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi.

5. Verify Printer and Network Connection

  • After setup, check if the Wi-Fi light is solid, indicating a successful connection.
  • Print a Network Configuration Report:
    • Press and hold the Information button on the printer until all control panel lights turn on, then release it.
    • The report will print.

6. Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Wrong Wi-Fi Password: Double-check the Wi-Fi password you're entering during setup.
  • Signal Strength: Place the printer close to the router during setup to ensure a strong signal.
  • Firewall/Antivirus: Temporarily disable them during setup as they might block the connection.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
