When I send a print job to my HP MFP M277 printer it will print multiple copies of the job until I manually cancel the job. I have deleted and reloaded the printer on the computer and restarted the printer. Nothing helps.

Hi @Spikebic,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw printer continues to print multiple copies of a document when you only intend to print one, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Print Settings: Ensure that the number of copies selected in the print settings on your computer is set to 1. Sometimes, the printer may be receiving a command to print multiple copies from the computer.

Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. You can usually do this from the printer's control panel or settings menu. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions.

Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for firmware updates using the printer's control panel or the HP website.

  • Check Printer Driver: Ensure that the printer driver installed on your computer is up to date. You can download the latest driver from the HP website or use the HP Smart app to check for updates.

Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Check for Print Job Stuck in Queue: Check the print queue on your computer to see if there are any print jobs stuck in the queue. If so, cancel them and try printing again.

Printer Settings: Check the printer settings on the printer itself to ensure that there are no settings causing it to print multiple copies by default.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact HP phone support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
