Hi @King_Twaha,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2130 All-in-One printer is feeding the paper halfway and then stopping. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

a. Check Paper Path
Ensure there are no small scraps of paper or debris inside the paper feed area, even if you’ve already looked. Sometimes tiny pieces can block rollers.

b. Inspect Paper Tray & Paper Quality
Make sure the paper is properly aligned in the tray and not overfilled.
Use only fresh, non-wrinkled paper that matches the printer’s specifications.

c. Clean Paper Rollers
Turn off the printer and unplug it.
Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to gently clean the rollers that feed the paper.

d. Check for Obstructions in Output Area
Look under the scanner lid and around the output tray to ensure no paper fragments or foreign objects are blocking the path.

e. Perform a Paper Feed Test
Load a single sheet of paper and try printing. Observe carefully where it stops to identify which roller or area may be causing the jam.

f. Reset the Printer
Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
This can clear any mechanical or sensor errors that may be stopping the paper feed.

g. Check for Printer Settings
Sometimes print settings like “borderless printing” or custom paper sizes can cause feed issues. Verify that the selected paper size and type match what’s loaded.

I hope this helps.

Hi @King_Twaha,

Wa Alaikum Assalam, and thank you for your kind reply.

I understand the issue is still happening even after trying all the basic troubleshooting steps. Since the paper goes halfway and then stops, it could be due to a mechanical issue with the rollers or a sensor inside the printer. Don't worry, let’s try a few deeper solutions:

1. Clean the Paper Rollers More Thoroughly (Advanced Method)

Sometimes the rollers become dusty or lose grip.
Here’s how to clean them properly:

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable.

Open the rear access door (if available).

Use a clean lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.

Rotate the rollers manually with your fingers and gently clean them.

Let them dry for 10 minutes before turning the printer back on.

2. Clean Paper Feed Using Printer Menu (if option available)

Some HP printers have a “Clean Paper Feed” option:
Printer Settings → Tools → Clean Paper Feed / Clean Rollers
This will run paper through the rollers to clear dust and improve grip.

3. Try a Different Paper Type

Use new, flat A4 paper – 70–90 GSM.

Avoid folded, thick, glossy, or damp paper.

4. Reset the Printer (Full Reset)

Turn the printer ON

Unplug the power cord from both printer and wall socket

Wait 60 seconds

Plug it back in and turn it on again

I hope this helps.
