Which cartridge do i replace on my Envy 6420e?  I cannot find which one.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Your HP Envy 6420e printer uses the following ink cartridges:

  • Black: HP 305 Black (Standard) / HP 305XL Black (High Yield)
  • Tri-Color: HP 305 Tri-Color (Standard) / HP 305XL Tri-Color (High Yield)

If you're unsure which one to replace:

  1. Check your printer display or HP Smart app for low ink warnings.
  2. Open the cartridge access door and look for low/empty cartridges.
  3. If prints are faded or missing colors, replace the affected cartridge (Black or Tri-Color).
