I'm getting very poor print quality with white horizontal lines from the black ink cartridge. It prints fine in single cartridge mode with color. 

I've tried cleaning the cartridges 3 times on the printer settings as well as cleaning them manually.

I've replaced the ink cartridge with a new one and am having the same problem.

I've gone through all the trouble shooting steps from HP and still am having the same problem. Of course, my warranty expired less than 3 weeks ago.  Grrrr ....

 

Help please?!

@JoanieDP If you've gone through all the steps suggested in this article: click here to verify,

And yet the issue persists, this is a hardware malfunction within the printer and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

 

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

 

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, 

Please check If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,
