Hi @BrandonA1012,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering a message stating "A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved," despite not using HP Instant Ink, it suggests there is an issue with your HP account or printer settings. Here are steps you can take to resolve this issue:

**1. Check Your HP Account Status

Log In to Your HP Account:

  • Visit the HP Smart website and log in to your HP account.Check for any alerts, notifications, or account-related issues.

Verify Account Details:

  • Ensure your account details, such as payment information and address, are up to date.
  • If you have an HP Instant Ink account, ensure it's not causing issues even if you're using regular ink.

**2. Verify Printer and Account Settings

Check Printer Registration:

  • Go to your printer’s settings menu and verify if it is registered with your HP account.
  • Ensure the printer is correctly linked to your HP account.

Reconnect Printer to HP Account:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Remove the printer from the app and then add it again to refresh the connection.

**3. Restart Your Printer and Devices

Power Cycle Printer:

  • Turn off your printer using the power button.
  • Unplug it from the power source and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Restart Your Computer:

  • Restart your computer to refresh the connection between the printer and your computer.

**4. Update Printer Firmware and Software

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  • Download and install any available firmware updates.Ensure the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device is up to date.
  • Check for updates in the app store or on the HP website.

**5. Check Network Connection

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Check your router to confirm that the printer has a stable connection.
  • If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, reconnect it to the network using the printer’s control panel.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
