Hi @W6332,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There are a couple of things you can try to get your HP printer back online.
Restart everything: This is a cliche troubleshooting tip for a reason, it often works! Turn off your printer, computer, and wifi router. Wait at least 10 seconds before turning them back on in this order: router, computer, and then the printer. This can clear any temporary glitches that might be causing the problem.
Check the connection: Make sure your printer is securely connected to your wifi network. If it's a USB connection, ensure the cable is plugged in firmly at both ends. Try using a different USB cable if you have one available.
Verify the settings: On your computer, ensure the printer isn't set to "Use printer offline." You can usually find this setting in the printer properties under "Devices and Printers" (Windows) or "System Preferences" (Mac).
Re-add the printer: If the above steps don't work, try removing and then re-adding the printer on your computer or mobile device. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.
HP tools: HP has a couple of tools that can help diagnose and fix printer problems:
- HP Print and Scan Doctor: This free tool can identify and fix many common printer errors, including connectivity issues https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/printscandoctor.
- HP Smart app: The HP Smart app allows you to set up, manage, and print from your HP printer. The app can also help troubleshoot some printer problems.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
