won't print £10 notes

Firstly I'm not starting a counterfeit business because I want to print a £50 note twice. Let me explain, we have twin grandsons aged 12 who think money grows on trees and don't have any idea of the value of money as the mother (my daughter) spoils them something rotten. They don't like visiting us because we are 'POOR' by their parent's standards. We are old age pensioners for christ sake.  

Anyway, my wife suggested I print two  £50 notes and embed them in resin and givee one each to the boys for their 13th birthday. Now my HP 1050 injet printer will scan the note, but won't print it as there is a security hack somewhere in the software that prevents it from doing so.

Is there any way around this as my grandsons birthday is nearly apon us.

You don't need to scan and print, you can make a copy of a note to bypass computer.

I've since found out that the HP InkJet Printer 1050 does print £10 notes if you don't use the accompanying software disc that came with the printer and just install a plain installation off the Internet instead.
