Hi @mateo0501

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer won't turn on, with no lights or any response, this could indicate a variety of potential issues ranging from a simple power problem to more complex internal hardware issues. Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

1. Check the Power Connection

  • Power Cable and Outlet: Make sure the power cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the wall outlet. Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out any problems with the power source.
  • Power Strip: If you're using a power strip, try plugging the printer directly into the wall outlet. Sometimes power strips or surge protectors fail or malfunction.
  • Power Cable: Inspect the power cable for any visible damage, fraying, or wear. If it's damaged, you may need to replace it.

2. Perform a Power Reset

Sometimes a simple reset can help restore power:

  1. Turn off the printer (if it’s not already off).
  2. Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
  3. Wait for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute. This helps clear any potential electrical surge or static buildup.
  4. Plug the printer back into the power outlet and turn it on.

3. Check the Printer’s Power Button

Ensure that you are pressing the power button correctly. On some printers, the power button may require a longer press (around 5 seconds). If the power button feels stuck or unresponsive, it might need to be cleaned or repaired.

4. Look for Paper Jams or Blockages

Sometimes, printers won’t turn on if there’s a mechanical issue or blockage inside. Check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer:

  • Open the printer's access door (where the ink cartridges are).
  • Check for any paper stuck inside, especially around the printhead or rollers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
