Printer Samsung Xpress M2070 FW

I used to be able to connect to my WIFI and print - no longer can.  Through troubleshooting realise that the problem is the AP channel which is currently set to 10 - I need to set this back to 1 - Don't know how it got from 1 to 10 in the first place but the network configuration print-out was initially 1 and then it is now 10

AP channel is only important when there is significant interference in your environment under the 2.4GHz band.  Clients like your wireless printer do not determine the channel, the home router or the Access Point does.  Channel selection does not normally dictate if users can connect to printers or not.  Chances are something else is going on.

To correct your problem with the AP channel you will need to log into your home router or AP and adjust the channel settings from that location first.  Then reboot your printer.  The printer will renegotiate with your AP when it boots up and migrate back to the correct channel.  This assumes that your printer is configured to connect to WiFi correctly in the first place.

If your AP is reporting the correct channel then the next step is to confirm the printer is connected to it.  The best way to verify the printer is connected is to temporarily connect over USB cable and then launch the HP toolbox software.  This will allow you to see the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of the printer and verify the current network connection status.  You can also make corrections to the networking configuration area while you are connected over USB too.
