Samsung MultiXpress SL-X4300LX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

Our customer has a Samsung MultiXpress SL-X4300LX printer. I have found the web management site. But can I upgrade printer's firmware through Internet browser.

Initially my customer tried the upgrade with USB but the USB stick didn't appear in the installation phase (using this as a guide https://youtu.be/w-SS5kkPpBg). Web based upgrade would be the easiest since the customer is located a bit further.

Kind regards,

PekkaPek

According to the user guide http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06067219.pdf

the Syncthru web service allow firmware updates.

Thank you Repairatrooper for the suggestion.

I think I already searched the location mentioned in the manual. All I was able to find was read-only information about various software versions. Maybe I am missing something.

It's under Maintenance >> Application >> Add.  Select the HDS file from your local desktop and let it run.  It takes around 30 minutes, so let your users know that it won't be available for a while.

Thank you a lot JermCool, that sounds very promising. That place I didn't realize to look at. I'll definitely give it a try once I reach the customer. I'll also keep you posted how it went.
