MultiXpress 7423p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this printer from a surplus store so I can't find the original CD for the drivers. There's next to nothing on this printer anywhere on the internet. Currently I'm using this only to copy documents and I feel like it's a waste if we keep using other cheap slow inkjet printers since this printer prints fast and in great quality. I see it in the Unspecified tab in the Windows 10 Devices and in the Printers folder as an "SCX Series" if I connect it via USB. I can't see it if it's connected via ethernet.

If I click on "SCX Series"'s properties tab and details, two items show up: "USB Printing Support" and "SamsungSCX-7423". If I click on "SamsungSCX-7423", the device description shows up as "generic printing device". However, I can't see it in the actual printer section whenever I print.  I can see "USB Printing Support" and "SamsungSCX-7423" in the Device Manager, the former in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section and the latter in the Software Devices section. I tried to apply the universal drivers but it still didn't work. If I install the universal drivers it doesn't seem to recognize the 7423p as a printer.

I don't know the actual administrator password on it so I can't check the administrator settings and see the IP address to print via TCP/IP. Would it be a good idea to reset it to factory settings to do this?

Are there any drivers that Samsung still has for this that's compatible for newer Windows versions? If that doesn't work, can I boot an XP virtual machine to just print? Would the drivers automatically download in XP?

Do I use the LAN port on the printer or the USB port?

I don't trust random .exe files being sent through here, does HP have an official download link other than that?

The driver that I posted is from the HP website, but if you want this is the link https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-xpress-sl-m2020-laser-printer-series/164625...

Go to the option "Driver-Universal Printer Driver" and you'll find the exact same file.
