Can't print Google Document from Chromebook using Samsung Mobile Print

HP Recommended
Samsung CLP365
Chrome OS

Hi,

I'm having problems printing Google Documents from a Chromebook and hope someone can help me. I have a Samsung CLP

365 printer and am using the Samsung app as Google CloudPrint is no longer available.

I have an Asus C302 Chromebook and have installed Samsung Mobile Print, Samsung Print Service Plugin and the Google Drive app from within the Mobile Print app (called Print Extension 5 in the Play Store)

I can find my printer & connect to it OK and have printed jpgs and pdfs OK. The problem comes when I try to print office documents (word, spreadsheets, presentations). When I use the app to select a document any office documents have a greyed icon and don't show the documents size whereas ipg and pdf documents have a  preview icon and the file size is displayed.

If I select a Google Office document it tries to download the file then displays the error message "There seems to be an error in the network. Please try again". If I select a Microsoft Word document a message tells me to download Office and print from within the Office app. This doesn't work as I can't select the printer from within the Office app.

I have tried this on another Chromebook and have the same results. It also give the same outcome if I try local documents rather than those in my Google Drive.

Does any know how to print office documents from within the Samsung Mobile Print app?

Thanks in advance for you help.
