CLX-6260FW

Hello,

I have recently joined a company that has an ongoing problem and have been given the task of solving it. having tried various different things through a process of elimination, I am now stuck.

I have left the operating system blank because we have two DCs, one is W2k8r2 and one is W2k12. The staff uses a variety of desktops and laptops, but all are using Windows 10

This company uses Citrix. We have a DC with full ADDS and various other file/SQL/etc. servers in the cloud and these are accessed via one of two Citrix servers provided by a third party.

I have RDP access to all computers.

Our finance department have a multi-function printer (CLX-6260FW) from which they scan documents to a specific network location, controlled by Samsung Easy Print Manager (EPM).

Prior to my getting involved, EPM was installed on the local desktop of a finance laptop with a profile setup for the scanning location. This profile would regularly vanish from the printer. The solution was to disable and re-enable the scan from device panel in the 'scan activation' option.

It seemed to me that this scan profile would vanish from the printer when ever the finance laptop was not there or after it had been taken home and bought back again. This laptop is taken home every night.

So, I installed the EPM on my laptop, setup a new profile and monitored this. It vanished, but only when I was out of the office, on-site with another customer.

I have now installed this under my user logon on the Citrix server and setup another new profile. I did this on Friday (17-11-17). of course, i took my laptop home over the weekend and this new profile is not on the printer this morning.

As a quick fix, i have disabled and re-enabled this from within EPM, but at present, it seems i will have to do this every morning and the finance staff are getting very annoyed at this. I need to figure out why the scan profile will not stay permanently and how to make it do so.

If anyone has any ideas I can try, it will be most appreciated.

Obviously, my Citrix server logon was logged out over the weekend, but this is not a physical machine. I have not yet tried installing it via RDP on the DC in the cloud, as I am not sure how this works with regard to the individual Citrix sessions for each user.

This is an SME, 40 staff & sub 5m turnover and there is only one other IT guy here, who does not know how to fix it and is not interested in doing it, so it is down to me.
