Samsung Xpress C410W
macOS 10.15 Catalina

My colour laser printer (Samsung Xpress C410W) is suddenly 'bricked' following Catalina update. My online research points to Catalina ending support for 32bit firmware printers- correct me if i'm wrong. The solution is apparently for the manufacturer to make 64bit drivers for the printers.

I have seen more discussions about this on here, with similar printers (Samsung - now HP owned), and staff have said 'contact customer support at HP/Samsung'.

I have tried to do that myself, but you have to deal with the automated support nonsense: a webpage with an infinite loop of 'enter S/N' .... Serial number not recognised ....'enter product description'..... Product not recognised [repeats ad nauseum]. This problem needs a human interaction to get resolved; and by the way, 'customer support' sites like that make people want to smash things.

This is extremely frustrating. Please help fix!

Same for C480. Drivers provided for Catalina cover bare minimal capabilities from the printer, furthermore, scanner cannot scan anything changed to default settings, as soon as a different file type (for instance PDF) or color settings are updated, output file is corrupted.

HP!!! you shall support the customers you accepted to received when you takeover Samsung printers.
