Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Before I had trouble with my computer (using Windows 7 - the screen went black and everything ceased working), I had my Samsung printer working brilliantly.  Local computer shop installed Windows 10 and got most things working again, but the computer and printer now refuse to connect wirelessly.  The printer operates with cable/USB connection, but why can I not get it to connect wirelessly - I've pressed the right buttons on printer and router, but no luck.  A friend tried too, downloading up-to-date driver, but still no joy.  Is the printer so out-of-date (2013) that it won't work wirelessly, or is there something that can be done to get it operating?  Any advice gratefully received.
