Hi,

I need to use the USB outlet on my computer for other devices every once in a while, not just the printer. Is it OK to plug and unplug the USB cord from the printer or can this be damaging in some way? That is how it is connected, not via a network or by Wifi.

I hope someone has an answer for this.

It is OK to plug and unplug when printer is OFF.

My suggestion for convenience: use a USB hub (which has few USB ports) for all other devices and keep printer on one USB port permanently.

Note: printer can't use the hub.

Regards.
