Hi
I have had this Samsung M2835DW printer for about four years, it has just begun to show a red error status light which appears to be firm.
There are no paper jams - I know this this because, even though the error light shows, I can still print the configuration and status pages by long pressing the Cancel button. The status pages show that the toner cartridge has 79% and the imaging unit 10% remaining. Both toner and imaging units are genuine Samsung parts.
OK, the imaging unit is fairly low, but it's still 10% and, as I have said, I can print the status information.
I'm reticent to spend over £50 on a new imaging unit if that does not fix the problem.

Please ignore my question above.
I have discovered that one possible cause for a solid red light is as a warning that the imaging unit is close to expiry - which ties up with an indication elsewhere that the unit has only 10% remaining
