I no longer have office space and I already have a printer at home. Should I just cancel my HP account or put it on pause until I figure out my next move?

Hi @Aatkins

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like you’re weighing your options carefully, which is great.

Here’s some advice to help you decide:

Pause Your HP Instant Ink Subscription:

  • If you're unsure of your next move and may need the service again soon, pausing your subscription might be the better choice. HP allows users to temporarily suspend their Instant Ink service for 6 months, which means you won't lose access to your account or settings.
  • When you're ready to resume, you can easily pick up where you left off without the hassle of setting things up again.

Cancel the Subscription:

  • If you're confident you won't need Instant Ink for more than 6 months, canceling might save you money in the long run. However, keep in mind that once you cancel, any unused pages from your subscription won’t roll over, and Instant Ink cartridges will no longer work.
  • If you decide to come back, you'll need to enroll again and set up the account.

It ultimately depends on how soon you think you'll need a second printer. If you're still figuring things out, pausing might offer the flexibility you need without fully committing to cancellation.

What feels right to you? Let me know if you'd like steps for pausing or canceling!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
