Good day, I hope someone can help..

I have replaced the retard paper feed roller on a Samsung CLX-6260fw.

I can access the tech menu but the reset option is not available under "Counter Reset".

I have done a Firmware update to latest but no change. 

Any help will be appreciated.

If you did not have an message saying it was low it might not appear in the reset menus. I have seen that behaviour on some products.

 

Just to confirm: Once in the tech menu

test routine>other>counter reset> select counter you want to reset.

Yes, message on screen sais to replace retard roller.

Yes, correct route followed to reset.

Yes, massage to replace tetard roller is on screen with ted light flashing.

Yes, confirmed correct procedure was followed but no Paper feed or Retard roller counter reset available.

Confirmed that Firmware is updated to latest version.

Any other suggestions please?

If options are missing from menus then my next suggestion would be to refresh the Operating system on the harddrive, which is different than  updating firmware.
