Not recognizing cartridges after firmware update

Xpress C410W

I updated the firmware on my C410W, as that had been years. However, after applying the update the printer no longer seems to recognize the (genuine Samsung) cartridges, which were ok and around 80% before the update. The interfaces list the cartridges at 0% now, and the printer is unusable with all LEDs blinking (indicating no cartridges present).

 

I installed the firmware currently posted on the website.

 

I did notice that the update comes with files related to both V3.00.01.99 and V3.00.02.20. The first time I ran the upgrade patch, an upgrade was done. However, the web interface still shows V3.00.01.99. Running the upgrade software again tells me that the device is already at the right version.

 

As these cartridges are quite expensive, I'd love to be able to use them again. Any help, ideas or experience with the issue would be greatly appreciated.
