@vincentheugen, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding "Wait Image" message on HP Designjet printers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Designjet printer displays a "Wait Image" message and does not respond to any key presses, you may need to follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Steps to resolve the issue:
Check for Scanning Area Cleanliness:
- Often, the "Wait Image" message indicates that the scanning area needs cleaning. Perform the routine maintenance procedures to clean the scanning area.
Remove Paper from Scanner:
- If the wait light is flashing, remove any original paper in the scanner.
- Return the Original Pressure Platen to its normal position.
Restart the Scanner:
- After cleaning and ensuring no paper is jammed in the scanner, restart the scanner. This may resolve the error message displayed.
Check Camera Position Errors:
- If the problem persists after cleaning and restarting, there may be camera position errors. For further assistance, consider contacting HP Support to check for hardware issues.
System Recovery:
- If none of the above steps work, you might need to perform a system recovery using the recovery DVD that came with your scanner. Insert the System Recovery DVD into the DVD drive, power off the touch screen, power it on again, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
