Hi @Aditi12341,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting a die to Jam error on the Samsung Xpress SL-C480FW. To resolve the issue, please try the steps shared below and let me know if this helps.

Turn Off the Printer

  • Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall for safety.

  1. Check the Paper Tray
    • Remove the paper tray completely.
    • Look for any jammed, crumpled, or misfed paper.
    • Gently pull out any stuck paper, making sure not to tear it.

  2. Check the Output Tray
    • Look inside the output tray area.
    • Remove any visible paper fragments or debris.

  3. Open the Front Cover and Toner Cartridge Area
    • Open the front cover carefully.
    • Remove the toner cartridge(s).
    • Inspect the inside — check the rollers and paper path for any jammed pieces.
    • Remove any bits of paper you see by pulling slowly and evenly.

  4. Check the Rear Access Panel
    • Open the rear cover (if your printer has one).
    • Look inside for jammed paper.
    • Remove it carefully.

  5. Check the Scanner Unit (if applicable)
    • If you were using the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), open the ADF cover.
    • Check for any jammed paper inside the feeder.

  6. Reinstall Everything
    • Place the toner cartridges back in.
    • Close all covers and trays securely.

  7. Plug in and Power On
    • Turn the printer back on and check if the error clears.
