Hello,

 

I own a Samsung CLX-6260FW printer currently running firmware version V4.00.01.49.

I recently learned from other users that upgrading to V4.00.02.29 enables proper AirPrint support on this model.

 

Unfortunately, I cannot find a safe, official download link for this firmware on HP’s support pages.

Could you please provide me with the official firmware file for V4.00.02.29, or a direct link to download it?

Hi  @Alqima7383,

 

Firmware version V4.00.02.29 isn’t posted on HP’s public support pages, and I wasn’t able to find an official download link for it. However, HP has since released a newer build — V4.00.02.35 — for the CLX-6260FW.

I’d recommend upgrading directly to V4.00.02.35 instead, since it’s the latest official release from HP and should include all the fixes and feature improvements from earlier versions (including AirPrint support). You can download it here from HP’s site

You can find V4.00.02.29 for CLX-6260FW at https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/FM/201510/20151012165743156/CLX6260FW_V4.00.02.29.zip

 

Please note that V4.00.02.35 is for CLX-6260FD / CLX-6260FR / CLX-6260ND so it won't work with the CLX-6260FW.

Firmware is posted on the HP support page for this printer, under older Windows operating systems

Upgrading to V4.00.04.05 is only possible if the CLX-6260FW has firmware V4.00.03.02 installed - otherwise, trying to install V4.00.04.05 will fail. (see other post)

 

Thus, the last installable firmware for any CLX-6260FW not having V4.00.03.02 installed is V4.00.02.29.
