While updating the printer to the latest firmware 66.07 (needed to resolve an issue with SMTP authentication), the firmware failed after 1 hour of trying to apply.
Now, the printer boots, tries to initialize and then powers down - repeat - repeat (it did this all night and still doing it this morning).
I beleive I need to do a machine recovery on this, but don't have the necessary files. The printer is completely useless at this point. I have also called HP and they have directed me to "partners" in Canada, none of which are still in business.
How can I gain access to recovery files that HP has (I have seen posts from 2022 to links which no longer work).

I should be able to provide some useful information but will need to send you a private message. I have requested a moderator to enable private messaging on your account and will send you something once they have done that.

Thank you for that! After removing the left side panel (4 screws) I was able to unplug the HDD SATA cable and gain access to recovery options and the details you sent via PM were exactly what I needed!
